A rough night of racing leaves Kelly with a beat up car, but an excellent 11th place finish in the late model at Kawartha on Friday June 5th.
Following three practice sessions, Kelly was feeling more comfortable with her car. Finishing 7th in her heat, she moved into the Consi race starting 4th and moved up to a solid 2nd place.
Starting 15th in the feature, Kelly was pushing very hard and had past several cars when she unfortunately had a spin in turn 1. Driving from the back, Kelly had passed six cars and was making a move to pass when another car made contact causing a caution.
At the rear end of the pack again, Kelly made quick work of moving up through the field ending the race in 11th place.
