First Win in Late Model and Pole at Mosport BSRKC.

Back at Kawartha after a two week break, Kelly took her first win in a late model in only her third race.

Kelly and the team are certainly getting to grips with her new car. Following her heat win, she lined up for the 40 lap feature near the back of the grid, making steady progress passing other cars, Kelly made her way up the field and was pushing for a top ten finish. A motor problem caused her to loose a cylinder with only 5 laps to go, but she held on and finished 11th. "I think this weekend went really well, it's just a matter of seat time, learning and perseverance." Said Kelly.

On Sunday Kelly was racing at Mosport in Race 3 of the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship. With only two practice sessions on the Friday morning, she took to the track in Senior Lite for practice and her times she posted certainly looked promising. Following the 10 min qualifying, Kelly took pole position. The weather then took a nasty turn and the heavens opened. Starting 1st Kelly ended the Pre Final in 7th place.

The rain kept coming down and finally the race was called. "We had made several changes for the final", said Kelly "…and I knew I had a chance of getting back to the front, so I was disappointed when the final was cancelled".
