Mini Stock Success at Kawartha

The first night of mini stock racing ended with a first feature race win for Kelly at Kawartha Speedway, which had excellent car count in all classes and full spectator stands.

Running in second place in the first heat and looking to take the lead, an electrical short in the car caused the motor to die briefly but quickly fired again enabling Kelly to finish in 3rd.

Electrical gremlins struck again with the car refusing to fire up for the Semi. A quick electrical adjustment got the car out for the race but 2 laps in, more electrical problems occurred.

Starting on the 3rd row of the grid for the feature, Kelly quickly made her way up to 2nd place running side by side for half the race fighting for 1st. She eventually managed to take the lead with 6 laps to go holding that position to take the chequered flag.
