Making a switch to a new chassis is never easy, and making a switch to two different ones, mid-season, with no seat time, only complicates matters more - but Huntsville's Kelly Wood had no problems this past weekend in her first outing in a Goodwood/F4K and Intrepid.
Competing Saturday at Race #7 with the Toronto Kart Club, Kelly was fourth in Senior Light, her first race in an F4K, and set the fastest lap of the race in the process. A few races later she repeated on the podium when she raced to second in Rotax Max Senior, her first outing in a Goodwood/Intrepid.
Out for more on Sunday, Kelly was in Sutton for the second round of the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship and after a DNF in the prefinal, she stormed back to finish seventh in the main event. Kelly would like to thank both Marco and Daniel Di Leo for all their help in making the transition over the past weekend. Kelly is back in action this coming weekend at one of North America's most famed karting events - the Cameron Motorsports Barrie Grand Prix.
